Good natural alternative...

Well if its legal in your country (I had to import mine from the US) and if your not looking for a cure to chronic insomnia. Melatonin definetly helps transient insomnia, jet lag and in my case, messed up sleeping patterns. I found it helped me sleep for longer hours overall, and to get deeper, undisturbed sleep. From that point of view, I recommend it.

Here's the problem with melatonin, yes unlike most sleeping pills it is not addictive, but that doesn't mean your body will not build up a tolerance to it, it will. Its better to take melatonin for one or two days, skip a day or two, and then go back to it.

If you want to take melatonin on a regular basis, you should start off at the lowest dosage possible that will benefit your sleep, because if you want it to work long term, your going to have to keep upping the dosage.

That's why for me, melatonin is for those nights where i'm just not going to sleep unmedicated no matter what, or if I get into a silly sleeping pattern.

DO NOT TAKE MELATONIN IF YOU SUFFER FROM ASTHMA. I don't know why Amazon hasn't noted this, its very important.

I seemed to sleep better and didn't feel drowsy at all. I woke up feeling fine -- I liked that part. I just wish they had more information on the bottle. I didn't even know what the product was for -- just the dose! Except for the little moon picture, I wouldn't have known what it was for without doing my own research. I would like it if the bottle had more information and a description of what it's for.

I've wanted to try a natural sleeping aid and this Test Drive was perfect. I like the pills because they were small and easy to swallow. They seemed to help me sleep better at night. I've been having trouble sleeping -- waking up often during the night. But since I started taking Nature's Bounty Melatonin, I've been sleeping more soundly.
