| Yes, it really does work! | |
| Like many men, I have seen this mystical object for sale in strange, magical places such as 'Sharper Image' and 'Sky Mall' catalogues. Although I knew I could certainly see a use for a nostril mower, I viewed the whole idea with suspicion. How could such an object work? Surely it was a plot to separate me from my money. Well, in a moment of weakness last year, I bought one, and my nose has never been the same since. My first trim was a delight - fun even, for the unit, while quiet on its own, makes a satisfying squealing/grinding noise when it encounters nostril hairs, something like a miniature grinding wheel or circle saw. Though the process doesn't hurt a bit (save for the VERY occasional semi-yanked hair), it is noisy enough to frighten women and convince them of your tolerance to great pain, especially when they see the faces you make while using it. (You know how you make funny faces when putting in eyedrops? There is an equivalent monkey-face when plumbing the depths of your nostrils). A freshly-shaved nose is easier to breathe through, and fun to stick your fingers in. There's no stubble, though you'll grow some within days of shaving. And despite urban legends to the contrary, your nostril hair does not grow back curly, grey, or extra-stiff. 5 stars. The best invention since pay-per-view. | |

| As a recent immigrant to the land where nostril hairs grow to giant length and girth, I have tried only one other personal trimmer. It was one of those with a series of tiny teeth that worked like little scissors. The teeth were sharp in my nostrils (ouch!) and the hairs never lined up well enough with them to allow themselves to be trimmed. That they never lined up only caused me to wiggle and thrust this instrument of death with ever more desperation, thus causing more pain and bleeding. This Panasonic trimmer works with a rotary motion and with blade guards to protect your skin. Using this device is absolutely comfortable, although it occasionally tickles. Hair is trimmed quickly, quietly, and with a minimum of fuss. Cleanup is a breeze, as it is immersible. I highly recommend the Panasonic ER411NC Nose and Ear Hair Trimmer. Stop the insanity: ditch the tweezers, the angry little teeth, and the razors. | |
| A nice little gadget | |
| This is something that's pretty handy but is sort of wierd to say you own. At least that's how I felt when I got mine. I also wondered how good this could be. I wondered if it was another useless piece of junk like battery operated scissors, miniature sewing machines or something similar that would break in a week and und up in the bottom of a drawer. I never even thought about getting one until my sister-in-law said she bought one for my brother-in-law. I then started to believe that maybe this might be something that was actually good to groom with. Unlike a plain shaving device for cutting or trimming hair, beards, moustaches etc., the thought of 'NOSEHAIR!' just seems wrong. I finally got one and was greatly surprized! It does what it's supposed to do fast! It's something you use once and awhile and forget you have it! Sort-of like fingernail or toenail clippers. I actually believe I should have had one a long time ago considering how it fits in with the other grooming tools! | |
